OCD can make people feel drained and powerless. I know that resisting compulsions is easier said than done. Urge surfing is a mindfulness skill that can help you start to notice the urge to do compulsions. Noticing is KEY because your have to notice the urge before you can start to resist it.
It’s hard at first, but the more you practice, the better you get at resisting the compulsions. That’s how you can take your power back from OCD!
