Meet Karla Pineda

I understand the overwhelming struggle of navigating life with OCD and anxiety disorders. It's like being trapped in a mind that never stops, a constant whirlwind of 'what if' scenarios that demand a solution. The relentless racing thoughts can leave people feeling paralyzed by fear and distress, creating a daily battle that drains them both mentally and physically.

Living in this perpetual state of anxiety often leads to isolation and can lead people to feel like their world is slowly shrinking. This can look like:

  • Cancelling plans to avoid social interactions with others

  • Falling behind on work responsibilities or calling in sick more often

  • Avoiding places they fear could trigger panic attacks

  • Struggling to make decisions out of fear of making the wrong one

  • Not seeing friends and loved ones because they’re scared they might unknowingly hurt them

My goal is to help my clients free themselves from rumination, compulsions, and avoidance, by facing their fears head on through gradual exposure. When done correctly, exposure can help people get back to doing what they love while feeling more grounded and confident.
